March 14 – Redwood Baseball Gives Back

Larkspur Mayor Larry Chu proclaimed March 14, 2015 “Redwood Baseball Program Day” in the City of Larkspur. Under the supervision of Public Works Director Mary Grace Houlihan and her staff the Varsity, Junior Varsity and Freshman Teams worked 3 hour shifts removing weeds, replacing plants, installing weed barriers, and adding new bark to the entrance of Piper Park near the tennis courts. Coach Firenzi was proud of the boys efforts on the balmy day in Larkpur, “Giving back to the community is just one aspect that the Redwood Baseball Program instills in its players. It’s not just about becoming better baseball players, it’s about becoming better citizens in the community, better students, and better young men.”
