Zach Cohen pitched 6 2/3 innings and earned the win for the Giants on the road in Kentfield on Thursday. Zach Kopstein closed out the game and earned his 4th save of the season and lowered his ERA to an incredible 0.26. Redwood completed their last game season sweep of the Wildcats as all 3 teams beat their arch-rival this week. Aubrey Sine led all Giants hitters, going 2-3 and knocking in a run. Sine, Parker Laret and Riley Overend all contributed 2-base hits with Overend also knocking in a run in the 1st. Aaron Dorfler and Adam Hussain also had hits for the Giants. Devon Pence led off the game with a single and later scored, setting the table for the Giants 2-run 1st inning. The Varsity Giants wrapped up their MCAL Season with a 16-2 record, earning the MCAL Pennant by 3 games over MC (13-5). They now move on to the MCAL Playoffs with a bye in the first round and will face the winner of the Branson vs. San Marin game.
