Redwood cruised to a 9-2 win on the road against the Bulldogs on Thursday. Zach Cohen earned his 7th win of the season, striking out 5. Cohen lowered his ERA to 1.30, giving up 0 earned runs in his 5 innings of work. Nate Flax finished the game, pitching 2 complete innings striking out 2 and also giving up no earned runs. The Giants bats stayed hot as they out-hit the ‘Dawgs 14-3. 4 Seniors had a multi-hit day as Aaron Dorfler led the way with 2 hits and 3 RBI’s, Adam Hussain and Riley Overend both had a single and a double, and Devon Pence had 2 singles. Zach Kopstien, Parker Laret, Matt Blankenship, Nate Flax, Garrett Aubert, and Danny Avins also had hits. With the win, the Giants improve their season record to 18-3 and they remain on top of the MCAL standings with a 13-2 reecord. Redwood has a quick turnaround as they face Terra Linda at at Moody tomorrow (Friday).
