Redwood took it’s 3rd loss of the season on the road against Tam. The Red-Tailed Hawks scored 3 runs in the 3rd inning on 4 hits. Tam would never score again. Tyler Peck took his first loss of the year, while yielding just 2 earned runs while striking out 6. Tamalpais Sophomore Jack Harris held Redwood to 4 hits through 6 innings. After Tam scored 3 in the bottom of the 3rd, the Giants answered in the top of the 4th when Aubrey Sine singled and later scored on a base hit by Adam Hussain. Redwood would again score in the top of the 5th when Riley Overend singled, Parker Laret singled to left and Aubrey Sine dropped a perfect bunt loading the bases. Eric Doctor hit a sacrifice fly, scoring Overend. Peck shut down the ‘Hawks 1-2-3 in the bottom of the 5th. Redwood needed a run to extend the game and 2 runs to take the lead in the top of the 6th. With one out, Aaron Dorfler singled to right. The speedy Danny Avins came in to run for Dorfler and Devon Pence rocketed a double, putting the tying run on 3rd and the go-ahead run on 2nd with one out. After yielding his 6th hit of the game, Tam pitcher Jack Harris was pulled and replaced by Mason Collins. Collins earned the save as the first batter he faced popped out. After an intentional walk to Parker Laret, he was able to induce a bases-loaded fly-out to right field ending the game. Redwood takes their MCAL leading 10-2 record on the road to Novato on Friday.
