3/31: 4 – 7 Loss vs. Drake @ Moody

Drake scored 2 in the top of the 1st and Redwood answered with 3 in the bottom, highlighted by a perfect squeeze bunt by Zach Tonnerre. Redwood added another run in the bottom of the 2nd making the score 4-2. Unfortunately that would be all the runs the Giants would score on the day. Despite solid pitching from Nicolas Belgium, Tyler Warren, and Aaron Halford, 4 runs would not be enough to keep the Giants undefeated home record intact. Redwood mustered 5 hits including doubles from Henry Zeisler, Aaron Halford, and Michael Benz. Gregory Block had a single and Zeisler added a single as he had two hits on the day. But hits nor pitching were the story. Instead, Giants errors were. With the score dead-locked at 4-4 in the top of the 7th, Drake scored 3 unearned runs. Redwood couldn’t answer, going down 1-2-3 in the bottom of the 7th. The Giants take a 2-2 MCAL record and a 8-3 season record on the road to face San Rafael on Thursday.
